we have encountered two issues which have caused us grief in our journey so far. The first is rubbish collection!! For some reason our wheelie bin is not being collected and a 'non conformee' note put on top of it!! we have no idea why, of course we cant ring and ask anyone because we don't speak fluently enough!! so for the last week, everytime we go out a bag of rubbish comes for a drive with us and we are constant rubbish watch looking for somewhere to dump our rubbish bags!!
The second lesson to learn is dont wait till Sunday to fill up your car! Everything closes in Sunday on France - its a real step back in time. The service stations are open but only accept credit cards - French ones - not foreign ones. So last week we ventured out, realised we couldnt find anywhere open, the kids had to miss the circus because we had to make sure we could get home!!
